What I am working on:
As a Professor and Director of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), University of Mumbai, India, working with extension work projects related to skill development and entrepreneurship, population education and homeschooling along with 1000 college teachers and 34000 + degree college students from urban and rural areas from 300+ degree colleges (affiliated with the University of Mumbai, India) in seven districts of the Konkan area of Maharashtra state in western India. Having a research centre in rural development ( 93 M. Phil. students and 35 Ph.D. Scholars studied/studying in DLLE.
Running 13 online market-orientated (need base) Continuing Education Courses in Computer and Financial Literacy for the students and community people (including project-affected from villages near new Mumbai Ports)

Formerly, a United States Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Fellow (World’s Best Teacher Program), Worked as a Visiting Professor of Social Science in the Catholic Uni. of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Nairobi, Kenya (Aug-Nov 2004).

During 2014-16, worked as a Hon. Coordinator for Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (Member of Parliament) at Village Sonavade, Tal: Shahuwadi, Dist: Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Mobilized Govt. Scheme worth USD 30 Cr. in Drinking Water, Construction of Small Dams, Gymnasium, School Bldg; Gram Panchayat ( Village Level Local Self Govt) Office.

Last 31 years of service in the Indian higher education field, (14 years as an Asst. Professor in Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Community Development at St Gonsalo Garcia College, Vasai, 03 years Principal in St Joseph College, Virar, 14 years as a Director of DLLE, University of Mumbai) 07 students awarded Ph. D. in Rural Development and 08 students are doing it.
Author of 15 Course material for Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), Uni of Mumbai.
Last 40 years, working as a volunteer and now as a President of Nirmith Youth Foundation (NYF), an NGO working for the tribal area for rural upliftment in the Palghar district of Maharashtra state in India. Implementing development programs for children and women, sports and youth, appropriate technology, education, animal husbandry, social forestry and horticulture.
